How to Save a GIF from X on iPhone and Android

Long-pressing a GIF in the X app rarely gives you a true download. Use Share → Copy link, then Twitter GIF Downloader in Safari or Chrome.

iPhone (Safari)

  1. Open the GIF post in X.
  2. Share → Copy Link.
  3. Paste into twittergifdownloader.org and tap Download.
  4. Open the downloaded MP4 and Save to Files or Photos.

Android (Chrome)

  1. Copy the post link from X.
  2. Paste into the downloader and fetch media.
  3. Tap Download — Chrome saves to your Downloads folder.
